Route 9N takes you along the western shore of Lake George and extends from Lake George Village up to Ticonderoga, which covers the entire length of the lake! As you travel across, enjoy the view of the mountains, mansions, and cabins, as well as the beauty of the bright colors. In addition to hiking Prospect Mountain near most of our Lake George waterfront hotels, you can also drive to the summit. The view is incredibly rewarding from your car, and Prospect Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway usually stays open through late October. You can also go on a relaxing drive through Bolton Landing and appreciate the historic mansions, estates, and charming shops that make our little town so quaint. The glimmering Lake George makes the perfect backdrop to these fall scenic views.
