Every weekend in February has something new and different to celebrate the snowy season. With a schedule full of fun you will never be bored on a February visit to the Lake George area. Most years the lake freezes making for a huge space that can be used for endless activities like polar plunges and various races. This is the season for the entire family to head out to Lake George as there are things for everyone to take part in. From shows in the amphitheater to snowman contests to outhouse races, there is never a dull moment.
A Full Schedule Of Fun
The First weekend that the fun begins is February 3rd and 4th with Open Ceremonies at noon to kick it off, followed by two full days of winter attractions. The second weekend starts out at 9 am on Saturday with an ATV scavenger hunt at Duffy’s Tavern with fun continuing until 6 pm and even more on Sunday. The third week begins with another scavenger hunt on ATV’s at 9 am with a chowder cook-off just in time for lunch with other events to follow all day Saturday and Sunday. The final weekend of February 24th and 25th takes off with snowmobile drag races on the lake from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday with car races taking the snowmobile’s places at the same time on Sunday. Every Saturday and Sunday will have an array of various things to see and enjoy with each Saturday ending in a marvelous fireworks display.
