The centerpiece of the Depe Dene Resort is the Estate Mansion. Built in the 1800’s by Captain D. S. Denison is one of the few remaining Millionaire’s Row Mansions available to vacation in on Lake George. One of the interesting stories about the mansion is that at one time it was purchased by Mr. Wallace McCaw who was an executive at Proctor & Gamble, it is told that his chef had devised the formula for Crisco during one of his summer vacations at the lake. The five (5) story 12,000 square foot mansion with panoramic views of Lake George features eleven (11) bedrooms, seven and a half (7.5) baths, seven (7) fireplaces, three (3) Jacuzzis, A sun room, billiards room, a solarium, boat slip, large fully equipped kitchen, sun decks, balconies and a grand enclosed porch with veranda. Sleeping up to twenty four (24) individuals it is ideal for large family gatherings and reunions.
